MICHELIN TIRES OVERVIEW
Michelin is a multinational tyre manufacturing company based in France. It's the second largest tyre maker in the world behind Bridgestone and it's larger than both Goodyear and Continental. Michelin also owns the Kléber tyres company, Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company, Bookatable, SASCAR, and Camso brands.
The Michelin brand is also notable for its Red and Green travel guides, the Michelin stars that the Red Guide awards to restaurants for their cooking, its roadmaps, and for its mascot Bibendum, colloquially known as the Michelin Man. The company manufactures tyres for automobiles, Space Shuttles, aircraft, heavy equipment, motorcycles, and bicycles.
Michelin also has its headquarters in South Carolina, Greenville, United States as Michelin North America. The company first manufactured in the city in 1975 before opening up their headquarters a decade later.
